Well, I’m here. Didn’t quite think it would happen this way, or this fast (once I gave myself this final deadline), but who’s complaining? I’ve made many attempts to get here and none of them worked out quite right. Not until I just said “to hell with it”, did what I had to do, and “jumped”. There’s a Steve Harvey video that you HAVE to watch – click here. I watched this a few times each month this year whenever I felt like giving up. Get your tissues ready, it’s definitely a tear jerker.
Some know the “struggle” (I use this term VERY lightly, because people have gone through worse), some don’t, but it’s not meant for everyone to understand. In my journey, I’ve known so many people to say “Oh, I wish I could do that”. You can, and hopefully this puts some fire under at least one person to prove just that.
I started keeping a jar of my accomplishments this year, so that at the end of the year I could take a look at everything I’ve done. Before moving, it became my “Whenever you have a thought about New York, write it down” jar. On February 25th, just 3 months before my move, I was TERRIFIED. I started thinking of ways that I could maybe hold off and actually looked for excuses to just wait until the end of the year to move. No one knew this, but I guess they do now.
Have you ever worked for something and wanted something so bad, then when you get it (or are close) you’re like – wait, something’s wrong here? Yeah, that was me. Even though I’ve been here for a few weeks, I still feel like I’m just visiting. I am absolutely living one of my dreams.
Check out my About section to see the reasoning behind this blog, name..all of the good stuff. It isn’t much explanation, but it’s enough for now. Stay tuned – there’s more where this came from. 😉
